President Nicolae Timofti today participated in a ceremony dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the Intelligence and Security Service.
Timofti congratulated the Service’s employees and asked them to further promote the national security interests and to observe the commitments taken by the institution.
Timofti spoke about the need to foster the capacities specific to the security bodies, in order to prevent and combat risk factors and threats brought to the national security.
Timofti added that, at present, SIS had an important contribution to maintain society in a peaceful climate, despite the attempts of some local and external forces to destabilise the social and political situation in Moldova.
