Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Maia Sandu discussed today with the EBRD Vice President Alain Pilloux the current and future cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The energy efficiency, including thermal insulation of public buildings, diversification of energy sources and development of the renewable energy sector are among the priorities that were mentioned at the meeting. The EBRD will also help small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova to access financing. Our country is interested in attracting investment in order to create jobs in villages and cities, and in developing regional infrastructure.
The EBRD representative expressed openness to contribute to the development of strategic infrastructure in our country, and to the launching of capacity building programmes for public institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
