Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of Moldova Igor Dodon had a meeting with the OSCE Special Representative for the Transnistrian settlement process Thomas Mayr-Harting who was in the Republic of Moldova on a three-day working visit. The head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch also attended the meeting.
The officials discussed a wide range of issues on the current Transnistrian conflict settlement agenda. In particular, the interlocutors spoke about the problems of free movement of our citizens across the Dniester, about the functioning of the banking system, telecommunications, etc.
The head of state highly appreciated the role of the OSCE as the main platform for negotiations, expressing gratitude for the support given in the process of bringing together the positions of the two banks of the Dniester, for the good of the citizens.
