Head of state to meet with Chairman of Board of "Moldovagaz" company

JSC "Moldovagaz" will initiate the procedure for reducing tariffs on natural gas for end consumers from September this year. The President of the Republic of Moldova Mr. Igor Dodon was informed about this today by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Moldovagaz" Mr. Vadim Ceban.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to gas supply to the country and its energy security in general. In particular, the parties discussed the start of negotiations with Gazprom on signing a three-year contract for the supply of fuel to our country. During the dialogue, it was noted that there were prerequisites for reducing natural gas tariffs for consumers in the IV quarter of 2020.

In addition, Igor Dodon and Vadim Ceban talked about adjusting the program on investment and gasification of settlements in 2020, which had been increased by 34 million lei - from 18 to 52 million.

The parties separately discussed the problem of existing debts for natural gas, including the Transnistrian region, and the implementation of the third energy package of the European Union.
