President of Moldova Igor Dodon held a video conference with the head of the International Monetary Fund Monitoring Mission in Moldova Ruben Atoyan and the IMF Resident Representative in our country Vladimir Tulin after completing their online consultations with representatives of the Government, the National Bank and other responsible persons.
The officials summed up the work of the IMF representatives, assessed the parameters of the future Memorandum of Cooperation, after which the parties would proceed to the development and signing of an immediate Cooperation Program for three years.
In addition, the interlocutors spoke about the completion of the reform of the financial and banking sector, the preservation of the independent status of the National Bank of Moldova, about budgetary and tax policy, energy, about the fight against corruption and the strengthening of the rule of law.
