Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, received today the letters of accreditation of two new ambassadors: H.E. Félix Baumann, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation and H.E. Vladimir Karapetyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, both residing in Kyiv.
During the official ceremony, the head of state discussed with Ambassador Baumann the very good bilateral relations, stressing that Switzerland is a reliable partner in promoting sustainable development, fighting corruption and ensuring security. Through the Cooperation Office in Chisinau, Switzerland contributes to the modernisation of our localities, infrastructure and the improvement of education and health services, as well as to the promotion of cultural initiatives.
In discussions with Ambassador Karapetyan, the President wished him success in his new mandate. In this context, the head of state expressed the importance of developing closer economic and cultural relations in the future between our countries.
