The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met today with the foreign ministers of the "North-Baltic 8" (NB8) countries, saying that their visit to Chisinau is a strong signal of support for our country and our European path.
"We are grateful to each individual country for the good bilateral cooperation, but also within the EU. We welcome the recent launch of the EU Partnership Mission for the Republic of Moldova in the context of the Common Security and Defence Policy, which will help us to strengthen the security sector," she said.
At the same time, President Maia Sandu praised the EU's decision to impose sanctions in record time for those who try to destabilize the situation in our country. "The Republic of Moldova is not alone, and it is stronger thanks to its friends", the head of state stressed.
