President Nicolae Timofti conveyed a congratulatory message to Mr. Petro Poroshenko on his victory in the presidential elections in Ukraine.
„The gained overwhelming victory has showed your political authority, the support provided by the people to the European option and the wish to live in a united, stable and prosperous Ukraine.
I am confident that both your professional experience and perspicacity, you have shown, will contribute to stabilising the situation in Ukraine and ensuring its territorial integrity, continuing the reforms and transformations under way, which will get Ukraine closer to the family of European nations.
While taking advantage of this nice occasion, I want to reiterate willingness for an intense joint activity, in order to extend and deep the traditional Moldovan-Ukrainian ties and, at the same time, to develop the full potential of the bilateral cooperation, for the benefit of our citizens and in the interest of peace and security in the region,” the message says.
