Moldovan president receives accreditation letters of five envoys

President Nicolae Timofti today received the accreditation letters of five ambassadors.

The accreditation letters have been presented by Cypriot Ambassador Kalliopi Avraam, Pakistani Ambassador Ayaz M. Khan, Indonesian Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro, Portuguese Ambassador João Bernardo Weinstein and Bulgarian Ambassador Petar Vîlov.

President Timofti and the ambassadors discussed the political, trade and cultural bilateral relations. Also, the president informed the foreign diplomats on the European integration process of Moldova and its modernisation reforms. The talks were focused also on the complicated situation in the region where Moldova is positioned.

The diplomats welcomed the policy of Moldova’s adjustment to the values and standards of the Western civilisation. They congratulated the head of state on the abolition by the European institutions of the visa regime for Moldovans.
