Developments in the region were discussed on Saturday evening in a phone call between President Maia Sandu and the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Officials spoke about the situation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, including humanitarian assistance, which our country is currently providing to tens of thousands of Ukrainians who have taken refuge in Moldova as a result of the Russian military aggression.
Prime Minister Trudeau expressed his support for the reforms undertaken by the Republic of Moldova over the past year and expressed his conviction that our country should be further supported in its efforts to consolidate democracy.
