Moldovan President Maia Sandu today held a videoconference discussion with President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. The discussion focused on the security situation in the region and the bilateral cooperation.
The head of state thanked her Portuguese counterpart for the humanitarian aid provided to our country since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. President Maia Sandu also thanked the Lisbon authorities for their attitude regarding our fellow citizens living in Portugal. President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa praised the ambitious reform agenda of the Moldovan government, which aims to bring Moldova in the European Union family. At the end of the discussion, President Maia Sandu invited her Portuguese counterpart to visit our country.
