President Maia Sandu joined online the participants of the Moldova Support Platform, which took place in Bucharest today.
"I sent a message of greeting and appreciation to the participants of the Moldova Support Platform, who met today in Bucharest to discuss ways how they can continue helping our country in the context of the war in Ukraine and the crises that affect us every day," Maia Sandu said.
According to the Head of State, the Republic of Moldova needs its partners’ support in order to strengthen our country's energy independence. In particular, we need aid for the cold season of the year, and also for ensuring food security, strengthening transport and security infrastructure, and continuing internal reforms, in order to advance on our European path.
The Bucharest Conference was attended by representatives of 36 countries and ten international organisations. It continues the support effort for the Republic of Moldova which was initiated by France, Germany and Romania, and launched in April in Berlin.
"The aid pledged to our country shows us that the Republic of Moldova is not facing all the challenges alone," President Maia Sandu said.
