President Maia Sandu welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, Evgueni Stoytchev, who is ending his mission in the Republic of Moldova. Discussions focused on bilateral cooperation and the next steps in the EU accession process.
The head of state thanked the Ambassador and the government in Sofia for their support of the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova. President Maia Sandu noted that our country is counting on Bulgaria's further assistance in the EU accession process.
The officials also discussed the situation of the "Grigore Țamblac" State University in the city of Taraclia, the head of state stressing that it should be a functional, modern and competitive educational institution, which would offer quality education to students graduating from this institution. All young people in the Republic of Moldova deserve high-quality education, regardless of where they study.
